Kumho Tires Receives Top Honors from Grassroots Motorsports Magazine with Ecsta XS

Five top tire brands competed in the Grassroots Motorsports tire test including Bridgestone , Falken , Toyo and Dunlop . The premise of the test was to compare tires that are eligible for the SCCA Street Touring category, which mandates a minimum tread wear rating of 140. The Kumho Ecsta XS was conceived with fierce competition in mind. The tire delivers unrivaled dry grip with split second steering response, and its unique footprint is designed to deliver consistent handling performance at high G-forces.
The comparison by Grassroots Magazine assessed a tires capabilities on a dedicated track located in Austin, Texas, appropriately named Driveway Austin. After extensive testing, the Kumho Ecsta XS tire had the lowest mean time, as well as the best quick time. “It is the complete package of inspiring turn-in, very high grip, easy modulation, and good feedback, “ Andy noted. The result in the test showed quick segment times, fast overall tallies, and the lowest mean time for both drivers. The complete test results can be seen in the June issue of Grassroots Motorsports Magazine.
